R&B singer Akon is being sued by a contractor for unpaid work on his Georgia estate. Durable Steel Structures claims the 41-year-old owes $36,765 for designing a glass floor intended to simulate walking above a coral reef.
The elaborate design featured LED lights projecting underwater scenes, but Akon's mother reportedly delayed selecting the lights, leading to the contractor refusing to finish until payment is made. This is not the first such dispute; Akon was sued for over $50,000 by another firm for work on the same property in 2012.
Akon, known for hits like 'Smack That', is currently working on a five-part concept album titled 'Stadium', with each part focusing on a different genre. He is also set to appear in the independent film 'American Heist'.
