Mother's Day in France and Sweden is typically celebrated on the last Sunday of May, but in France and Monaco, it may be held on the first Sunday of June if the last Sunday falls on Pentecost. The Palace of Monaco's official Instagram account accompanied the photo with the message: 'Wishing all moms a Happy Mother’s Day.'
Princess Gabriella wore subtle gold hoop earrings, adding a touch of sparkle. The princess had her mousy hair in loose curls and wore a tiny pair of gold hoops as she beamed alongside her brother, who sported a white jumper with a high neck.
The twins, who turned 11 last December, have had a busy year. In February, they attended the Winter Olympic Games, and in March, they joined their parents to meet the Pope at the Palace of Monaco. Last year, they had their First Communion at Monaco Cathedral.
In March, Prince Jacques made a rare joint outing with his father, Prince Albert, for a visit to Monaco's Museum of Stamps and Coins to celebrate Monaco's 30th anniversary. Jacques, who holds the title Marquis of Baux, is the heir presumptive to the throne, despite being born two minutes after his twin sister, due to male-favoured primogeniture rules in the Monégasque royal family.
