Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Beatrice's husband, has broken his silence on Instagram after snubbing a royal tradition last month. He posted a sweet comment on Princess Eugenie's announcement of the birth of her third child, a baby girl.
Baby Girl Brooksbank
Princess Eugenie gave birth on Monday at 6.20pm at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces. The King and Queen and other members of the Royal Family were "delighted to be informed of the news."
Eugenie shared a photograph of the newborn on Tuesday, writing: "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie."
Edoardo commented on the post with three pink hearts emojis and a baby angel emoji.
Anniversary Snub
The comment may surprise some, as Edoardo did not mark his sixth wedding anniversary with Beatrice online on July 17. He has posted for almost every anniversary, except in 2022.
It is not known why he chose not to post publicly this year. The couple's wedding in Windsor took place during the Covid-19 pandemic and was not televised.
Last year, Edoardo shared a beach photo with Beatrice, captioning it: "Happy 5th Anniversary to my incredible partner, the most beautiful and amazing wife. I cherish every moment we've spent together and am deeply grateful for our journey. Here's to countless more years filled with laughter and tons of love!"
