Princess Astrid dies aged 94 days after King's funeral

Norway's Princess Astrid, the elder sister of the late King Harald, has died aged 94, the royal palace said on Friday. Her brother Harald died last month at 89 after more than 35 years on the throne.

Final public appearance at funeral

Princess Astrid's final public appearance was at his funeral on Wednesday, just two days before her death.

Royal statement

"Throughout her long life, Princess Astrid represented the royal house in a warm and dutiful manner," King Haakon VIII said in the statement.
