Prince William and Princess Catherine have quietly signaled that they are not pursuing reconciliation with Prince Harry, according to recent events.
Reports that Prince Harry, 41, and Meghan Markle, 44, spent time at Highgrove sparked speculation of a possible meeting between the brothers, but there were no reports of the Prince and Princess of Wales joining them, nor any indication that they met Prince Archie or Princess Lilibet.
No Meeting Despite Visit
While King Charles reportedly made time to see Prince Harry during his visit, there was no sign of William and Catherine. This absence is seen as a telling moment, suggesting that the Waleses are not prioritizing reconciliation.
The lack of a meeting also means that Archie and Lilibet did not spend time with their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The cousins have reportedly spent very little time together, growing up worlds apart despite sharing the same family history.
Harry Strengthening Other Ties
Meanwhile, Harry appears to be strengthening ties with his mother's side of the family. He recently welcomed his uncle, Earl Charles Spencer, and Lady Spencer to California, underlining the close relationship he continues to share with them.
Since stepping down as working royals in 2020, the brothers have rarely been seen together, and when they have, the occasions have often been overshadowed by tension, such as at Prince Philip's funeral and the Queen's funeral.

The release of Harry's memoir, Spare, laid bare deeply personal disagreements with his brother, making any path back infinitely more complicated. Even when Harry has returned to Britain in recent years, meetings with William have been fleeting or absent altogether.
This may no longer be a temporary falling out. Trust, once broken, is incredibly difficult to rebuild, especially when disagreements have played out on the world stage.
Catherine's Role
Princess Catherine's role is also impossible to ignore. She was once seen as a calming influence between the brothers, famously encouraging them to walk together after Prince Philip's funeral. If reports are accurate that no meeting took place, it suggests the Waleses are no longer prioritizing reconciliation above protecting the life they have built together.
William has spent the past few years supporting his father through illness and Catherine through her own cancer diagnosis, all while preparing for the responsibilities of being the future King. His focus appears firmly fixed on his immediate family.
