The Prince of Wales's plan for the monarchy is reportedly full of “hope”, according to a royal insider. The first-in-line to the throne has only hinted at what the monarchy could look like under his reign, including a comment last year about doing royal with a “small r” and focusing more on the impact of important causes.
William's Key Causes
These causes are set to include ones the prince is already passionate about, such as tackling homelessness and helping the environment. These are the projects William has invested the most energy in, with The Earthshot Prize being something he is especially proud of, having set it up in 2020. This project, created by the prince, invests money into ideas and products that can help tackle climate change.
A Father's Hope
The prince frequently speaks of wanting the world his children inherit to be full of hope. In a previous interview with Hello! Magazine, he said: "As a father, I think constantly about the world my children will inherit. I want them to grow up surrounded by nature, opportunity and a sense of hope about the future. But I also know that unless we act boldly now, that future is at risk. The Earthshot Prize is about turning the tide, about proving to our children that we are willing to fight for their tomorrow. Urgent optimism is the heartbeat of The Earthshot Prize."

She said: "He needs to mean what he says and choose his campaigns carefully - and I think that's exactly what he's done. William has determinedly taken a different tack than others.
