Prince William's anger towards his estranged brother, Prince Harry, has reportedly gone, according to insiders. The Prince of Wales has stopped "caring", which is why the anger has faded.
Years of tension and silence
Since Prince Harry quit royal life in 2020, and slightly before, tensions between him and his brother were high. While they were still occasionally spotted out and about together, their relationship seemed to end abruptly in 2023, with reports that the brothers no longer spoke to one another.
It is believed this came about after Harry's controversial memoir Spare, which was less than complimentary about William. The brothers have had little communication since then and have not been on speaking terms for years now.
Insider reveals change in mindset
Although William, 45, was initially "angry" with Harry's actions, an insider has revealed that this anger is now "gone". Writing in his Naughty But Nice Substack, Rob Shuter said that this is because the Prince of Wales has stopped "caring".
A source said: "The anger has gone. William spent years being furious. Catherine was deeply hurt.
"But you cannot stay angry forever. Eventually, you stop fighting and simply stop caring."
Harry no longer occupies emotional space
The source continued to tell Rob Shuter: "Harry and Meghan can live 10 miles away or 5,000 miles away — it makes very little difference to William now.
"He has Catherine, his children, his work and his future. Harry is no longer occupying the enormous amount of emotional space he once did."
While Harry has recently returned to Britain, it seems there are no plans for him and Prince William to meet anytime soon. Harry has spoken about his desire to reconcile with his older brother before, but William has always stayed quiet on the subject.
