Prince William's 'anger' at Harry 'harder to extinguish'

Prince William feels "betrayed" by his younger brother, Prince Harry, and his "anger" towards him will be harder to "extinguish," a royal expert has claimed. The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex have been estranged for several years, following Harry's bombshell exit from the Firm six years ago and his subsequent claims against his brother and royals.

A rift marked by public claims

Harry made several references to his life within the Firm in various interviews and, in even more detail, in his memoir, Spare, even alleging that there was a physical altercation between him and his brother. William and Harry have been distant since then, even making separate appearances for their late mother's Diana Award ceremony 25th anniversary in 2024.

Now, as the late Princess Diana's 30th death anniversary is coming up, a royal expert has predicted that although the period will be a tough one for the two feuding brothers, their rift shows no signs of healing.

Expert: William feels betrayed

Royal commentator Jennie Bond said that William feels "betrayed" after Harry split "family secrets" in Spare and added that it will be a "big ask" for the duke to expect him to forgive and forget.

She told the i newspaper: "What a tribute it would be to Diana if her sons could finally be reconciled on the anniversary of her untimely death.

"But if Harry's fire has been quelled, the anger smouldering inside William – who is known to be a stubborn character – could be much harder to extinguish."

She added: "He feels betrayed by the brother who sold the family secrets – or at least Harry's version of them — and now wants to be allowed back into the fold. If any truce is to be called, it will be William who does the calling."
