Prince Harry could face a devastating blow once Prince William becomes King, according to recent speculation. Reports suggest that the Duke of Sussex, 41, is keen on returning to the royal fold, while his brother is firmly against the idea.
It is believed William and Harry have not spoken since 2022, when they both attended Queen Elizabeth II's funeral. Their relationship had become strained in the years prior, when Harry stepped down from his role as a senior working royal and moved to California with his wife, Meghan Markle.
William's Opposition
While King Charles is reportedly more open to the prospect of Harry returning to the Royal Family, it appears William does not share the same sentiment. Appearing on News24, formerly Sky News Australia, Mark Dolan has now speculated that William is waiting until he becomes King, at which point he will take "serious action" against his younger brother.
The TalkTV presenter said: "William does not consent to this return to the royal fold. Why? Because William has a memory, he's got common sense, he's got a heart and he cares about the monarchy."
Dolan's Claims
Dolan added: "Prince Harry has defamed the Royal Family, damaged the UK to boot and William's thinking, 'Why are we forgiving this guy? Why are we bringing him into the royal fold?'"
He continued: "It's my understanding there are great tensions between the King and William. What you're looking at with William, he's the barrier to Harry properly returning, but he hasn't got the King's power because Charles is the head of the family."
He concluded: "It's only when William becomes King that we'll see some serious action against Harry."
Possible Reunion
Last week, it was reported that William and Harry could reunite next year to mark the 30th anniversary of the death of their mother, Princess Diana. However, GB News star Cristo Foufas was apprehensive about whether the pair will be able to put their differences aside, claiming the Prince of Wales "wants nothing to do with his brother".
Foufas said: "He wants absolutely nothing to do with him. I've got really high hopes for William because William gets it. The late Queen got it. It is all about the protection of the crown. And anytime there is scandal like Andrew, anytime there are grenades thrown about racism, they all undermine the integrity of the crown."
He added: "And that is something I think that William absolutely understands – that he is the protector. He is the steward of that going forward. And unfortunately, I think he sees Harry as poisonous when it comes to that."
