Prince William was seen driving the Duchess of Cambridge and their three children to church at Balmoral on Sunday, marking the first time the family has been together with the Queen since the coronavirus lockdown began in March.
The Cambridges, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are staying at the royal estate in Scotland, where the Queen and Prince Philip have been in a Covid-secure bubble since early August.
The Queen, 94, and the Duke of Edinburgh, 99, have been isolating at Balmoral since August 4, after travelling from Windsor Castle. The family has been adhering to strict social distancing measures, with outdoor meetings taking place on the estate.
A source told The Sun: 'Like every family, they've been desperate to get back together and over the moon it was possible this weekend. They've all been up there for a few days and although there are very strict procedures with social distancing, they've been able to find ways of seeing each other outside.'
Prince Edward, Sophie of Wessex and Princess Anne are also reported to be at the 50,000-acre estate this weekend. The Queen and Philip are expected to remain at Balmoral until early October, with other family members joining them throughout their stay.
