Prince Louis Set for Wimbledon Debut at Age 8, Royal Expert Says
Prince Louis Likely to Make Wimbledon Debut This Year

Prince Louis, the youngest child of Prince William and Princess Catherine, is expected to make his Wimbledon debut this year at the age of 8, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. While his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have attended the tennis tournament before, Louis has never been taken to the event, instead watching from home.

Royal Expert Predicts Louis's Attendance

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Express, Fitzwilliams said he is “all but certain” that Prince Louis will attend Wimbledon this year with his parents. “Both of his siblings attended at 8. The reason he has waited is reportedly the length of some of the matches and Wimbledon etiquette,” Fitzwilliams explained.

Princess Catherine's Influence on Louis's Tennis Interest

Fitzwilliams highlighted Princess Catherine’s emphasis on sport, noting her role as Patron of Wimbledon since 2016. “She has said Louis is keen on a couple of occasions, which included a chat to a Wimbledon ball boy, when she talked about how he was practising,” he said. In 2019, tennis legend Stan Smith gave Louis a special pair of Adidas Stan Smith trainers, and last year, he received an autographed tennis ball from Jannik Sinner. “He will undoubtedly be longing to make his debut in the Royal Box!” Fitzwilliams added.
