Prince Harry's Team Leaked Details of Meeting with King Charles's Adviser, Claims Journalist

It has been claimed that Prince Harry's own public relations team leaked details of a meeting held with a senior adviser to King Charles last year. The claim was made by journalist Charlotte Griffiths, who says she was tipped off in advance about the meeting.

The meeting took place in the summer of 2025 at the Royal Over-Seas League near Clarence House. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's PR chiefs, Liam Maguire and Meredith Maines, were photographed with the monarch's aide Tobyn Andreae on a balcony visible from a public park. The Mail on Sunday obtained the photographs, with a photographer arranged in advance.

Griffiths, who writes for The Daily Mail, said she was told about the meeting by a close adviser to the Sussexes during a lunch at the Ivy restaurant in London. She was provided with information to write positive stories about Harry and Meghan, including that they were trying to rebuild their relationship with the King.

However, after the photographs were published, sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly told The Daily Telegraph that they were 'very frustrated' that the pictures had appeared in The Mail on Sunday, suggesting falsely that the Palace was responsible. Griffiths said this demonstrates how people close to Harry leak stories despite his claim that his people never leak.

Griffiths made the revelation after Prince Harry lost his court case this week against Associated Newspapers Limited, the publishers of The Daily Mail, whom he accused of unlawful information gathering. The company denied all claims.
