Prince Harry will attend Zara Phillips' wedding to rugby star Mike Tindall next month without a plus one, amid reports that his on-off girlfriend Chelsy Davy has not been invited. The 26-year-old royal has been allocated no guest for the July 30 ceremony at Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, according to a palace insider.
Sources say Zara, 30, who is not close to Davy, is keen to play matchmaker for her cousin at the wedding. 'Zara was never very close with Chelsy and as she and Harry are currently on one of their “off” periods she thought it best if he comes to her wedding solo,' a source told the Daily Mail. The former Eventing World Champion has previously tried to set Harry up with other women when he was single.
Pippa Middleton, 27, who was seen laughing with Harry at Prince William's wedding in April, will also not attend, as she does not know Zara well. However, an extra seat could be found if Harry decides to bring a guest, even Pippa.
Meanwhile, Harry was seen chatting to singer Ellie Goulding at a charity polo match last weekend, though her boyfriend, Radio 1 DJ Greg James, was also present. The prince has also struck up a friendship with actress Charlize Theron, who is now single after her romance with Keanu Reeves ended. The pair are discussing collaborating on their charitable work in Africa.
