The Queen, 94, is expected to meet with Harry at her Windsor 'HMS Bubble' after she resumed audiences and small engagements. However, the visit comes amid warnings from royal experts that Harry has 'burnt significant bridges beyond repair' by speaking out about the upcoming American election.
A source told The Sun: 'Staff at Windsor have been told to prepare for the possibility Harry could come back. They are told that it could be within weeks but Meghan's name was not mentioned. There are all sorts of issues to speak about — not only his political statements but also his visa situation in the US.'
The news follows Harry's payment of a 'substantial sum' to cover rent and clear the £2.4 million taxpayer-funded renovations on the couple's UK home. Biographer Penny Junor wrote in the Mirror that the couple appear 'not bothered' by their decision to leave the royal family, and while Harry may improve his relationship with Prince William, Meghan is unlikely to ever want to return.
