Prince Harry has completed his first month back in the UK with his family after six years in the US. Over the years, the prince has experienced some exceptionally memorable moments, from his mother's death to the birth of his children, all in the public eye.
Wedding and Engagement
Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in 2018 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 19. An estimated 1.9 billion people tuned in to watch the ceremony, making it one of the biggest televised events in history.
The couple got engaged in November 2017. The Duke of Sussex designed the three-stone engagement ring, using two stones from his late mother's jewellery collection. The ring also features a diamond from Botswana, a country special to the couple.
Stepping Back as Royals
In January 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they would be stepping down from their roles as royals. An Instagram post stated they intended to step back as 'senior' members of the royal family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support the Queen.
Military Service
Prince Harry graduated from Sandhurst as an Army officer in 2006, where his passing out parade was inspected by his grandmother, the Queen. Then-Prince Charles and Camilla, alongside Prince William, were also at the ceremony. Harry was 21 at the time and became a Second Lieutenant, later serving in Afghanistan.
The prince moved back to the UK at the end of August, carving his own path from serving in two military tours to eventually leaving his role as a senior royal.
