Prince Harry is reportedly planning to make more frequent UK visits, with insiders revealing he intends to fly back home "every few months" following the private family reunion with King Charles last month. The Duke of Sussex is said to be eager to rebuild bridges with the Royal Family after a successful cross-Atlantic trip.
Increased frequency of trips
The move comes as the 41-year-old prince aims to refocus his efforts on his British patronages and prepare for the upcoming Invictus Games, while drastically scaling back his messy legal battles.
A source close to the Duke revealed: "The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus. He’ll be coming back and forth a lot more, every few months."
Warm family reunions
"The way the wind is blowing, he’s going to want to be here more and more. He wants more of a foothold here, more trips back, less courtroom drama. And he always loves seeing his family," the source claimed.
Harry is expected back on British soil as early as September for a week-long stay focusing primarily on his charity commitments. This upcoming trip follows a private mid-July meeting where King Charles was reunited with his youngest grandchildren, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, for the first time in four years.
Pilgrimage and patronages
During that same recent stay, the Sussexes made a secretive pilgrimage to Princess Diana's burial site at Althorp, where young Lilibet was seen carrying floral tributes. The Duke is now pivoting his focus back to his royal patronages following his high-profile £50million High Court defeat against the publisher of the Daily Mail.
It remains unclear whether Meghan Markle, 44, or their two children will join him on these routine visits. While his previous trip was plagued by security disputes and travel delays, Harry is now determined to establish a permanent routine back in the UK, apparently keen to put family feuds and legal drama firmly in the rearview mirror.
Prince Harry has met his father alone twice in the last two years after he jetted back when he discovered he had cancer, and for a short face-to-face at Clarence House last September.
