Prince Harry 'stuck after selling Royal Family stories and secrets' - 'nothing else to do'
Prince Harry 'stuck after selling Royal Family stories and secrets'

Prince Harry has been accused of having “nothing else to do” after reports emerged that he is exploring a possible documentary about his late mother, Princess Diana. The comments were made during the first ever episode of Royals Unscripted from the Daily Express, where royal editor Emily Ferguson and commentator Carole Malone discussed the latest royal news.

Harry '100% monetising' Diana's death

When asked about reports that Prince Harry may be working on a documentary about his late mother, Princess Diana, to mark 30 years since her death next year, Carole Malone claimed that he was “100% monetising” his mother’s death.

She added: “This is all Harry can do. He can only sell secrets and stories about his family. He has no career as such.

“He did his military service and from all the reports he did very well in that but that was a long time ago. That's over and he has nothing else to do now.”

Diana 'let her rest in peace'

Malone also questioned the need for another project about Diana, saying: “Diana’s been dead for 30 years. The phrase ‘let her rest in peace’ comes to mind now.”

She went on to claim that some people online had been reacting to the reports by saying: “The grifters are at it again.”

Malone suggested that while a documentary might initially be presented as a tribute to Diana, she believed it could ultimately become focused on Harry himself. She believes it would be made “about him” and “his gripes” and on how his mother was treated.

Comparison with Prince William

The commentator also contrasted Harry's reported plans with Prince William's approach to his mother's legacy. She said: “Wills has put it to rest and he's getting on with his life.”

Harry has reportedly started to reach out to family members and friends connected to Diana for their contributions.

Meghan, Harry and their two children made a surprise return to the UK at the end of last month and announced plans to live in Britain for an “extended” period. Their children are now being schooled in Britain. They arrived back in the UK on August 26 and landed at Birmingham Airport after six years in Montecito, California.
