Prince Harry Not Invited to World Cup Final Due to Beckham Feud
Prince Harry Snubbed from World Cup Over Beckham Rift

Prince Harry has reportedly been snubbed from the FIFA World Cup final, with a royal journalist claiming the Duke of Sussex was not invited due to a rift with former friend David Beckham.

World Cup Final Guest List

The World Cup final is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, near New York City. The venue, designated as New York New Jersey Stadium for the tournament, underwent major renovations, including the removal of approximately 1,740 seats. The event is expected to attract a star-studded guest list of global celebrities, political figures, and sporting icons.

However, according to royal journalist Rob Shuter, Prince Harry will not be among them. Writing on his Naughty But Nice Substack, Shuter quoted an insider: "This isn't about room on the guest list. Football picked its prince years ago, and that prince is David Beckham."

Fallout with Beckhams

The once-close friendship between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and David and Victoria Beckham reportedly deteriorated after the Sussexes allegedly believed the Beckhams had been involved in leaking stories to the British press. A source said, "David never forgave it. The accusation destroyed the trust. Once that happened, there was no coming back."

David and Victoria Beckham attended the couple's wedding at Windsor Castle in 2018, but the relationship has since soured.

World Cup 2026

The World Cup officially kicked off on Thursday, June 11, marking the start of the largest tournament in football history. Over 39 days, 48 teams will compete in a record 104 matches across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, culminating in the final on July 19. The opening match featured Mexico against South Africa at Mexico City Stadium.

A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not respond to a request for comment.
