Prince Harry has been branded "dangerous" to the Royal Family following reports that he remains in the same frame of mind as he was in 2021. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have returned to the UK and are now residing at a private, non-royal residence outside London.
Royal expert warns over Harry's 'mindset'
Speaking to the Daily Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: "If he still feels as aggrieved as it is now reported, he is dangerous to the Royal Family as tens of millions saw Oprah and Spare had huge sales and the Sussexes are now, suddenly, in situ."
Fitzwilliams added: "He said on the BBC last year that he wanted reconciliation. For him, reconciliation requires accountability, but the Royal Family will never publicly apologise."
Oprah interview and ongoing revelations
The Duke and Duchess sat down with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, one year after their relocation to the US. During the televised discussion, Meghan claimed she felt she was treated unjustly while serving as a senior royal and disclosed an alleged remark made by two family members about the colour of her then-unborn son's skin.
Since the interview, Harry has spoken candidly about his royal life, divulging further details about the Firm. Reports now suggest Harry is keen for the Royal Family to issue an apology to him and Meghan.
Return to the UK
In August 2026, Meghan and Harry returned to the UK. Their return was disclosed to King Charles earlier this month, just three days before it was publicly announced. The family now lives in a private, non-royal residence outside London.
Fitzwilliams noted that Queen Elizabeth's response to the Sussexes' allegations, "some recollections may vary," remains the most memorable quote, adding that "people just don't trust the Sussexes and with reason."
