Love Island's Brad McClelland was involved in a heated altercation with another man at a Brighton nightclub on Sunday night, according to eyewitnesses. The 26-year-old reality star confronted a man who was allegedly flirting with his former partner Lucinda Strafford, 21, at the club Shoosh.
The incident reportedly escalated when Brad shouted threats at the other man, saying: 'Come on then, I'll knock you out! You're just a little boy!' Nightclub security had to intervene, asking Brad to leave at around 2:30am on Monday morning.
Sources claim that Lucinda had secretly invited the other man to meet her in the VIP section, which angered Brad. However, friends of Lucinda maintain it was a misunderstanding, stating that the man kept approaching her despite her lack of interest.
The drama comes after Brad and Lucinda coupled up on the current series of Love Island, but Brad sacrificed his place in the villa to allow Lucinda to continue. She later coupled up with Aaron Francis, but both were dumped from the show last week. Since then, Lucinda has been seen with Brad again, but Sunday night's events suggest she may be keeping her options open.
Earlier on Monday, Lucinda appeared on Lorraine alongside Aaron, where the interview turned awkward when host Christine Lampard questioned her about meeting Brad over the weekend. Lucinda admitted it was 'early stages' with Brad, while Aaron looked uncomfortable and joked about missing out on Casa Amor.
