Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have officially been back in the UK for one week. The couple landed at Birmingham airport with their two children in the afternoon on August 26.
The exact location of the family's new home remains unknown, although it is thought to be in the Cotswolds. Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, will also be starting at a new school in the UK this month.
Return questioned by royal expert
The Sussexes' UK return has recently come into question, with one royal expert stating that it has not been the "power move" they thought it would be.
Despite reports that Meghan is feeling "confident" about the return, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has argued the opposite. Talking to host Rita Panahi on News24, formerly Sky News Australia, Kinsey said: "Speaking of delusional, Meghan's friends have told People magazine that Meghan is feeling more confident about her UK comeback because she finally gets to play by her own rules."
"I think the Sussexes have a history of overestimating their leverage. Six years later, they're the ones coming back. I'm not sure that's the power move they think it is."
Not a permanent move
It has also been reported that the move may not be permanent, with the family planning to stay for an "extended period".
Harry and Meghan lived in California from 2020 until last week. King Charles and Prince William were reportedly notified of their shock return just three days before the news was made public.
The King is reportedly welcoming the prospect of spending more time with Harry and his two youngest grandchildren. William, on the other hand, and Princess Catherine are lying low on Harry and Meghan's return.
