Poll: Should Prince William reunite with Prince Harry?

Prince William and Prince Harry's feud appears to be continuing despite the apparent mending of relations between the Duke of Sussex and King Charles. Media reports recently suggested Harry is keen to return to the royal fold, with the King appearing to welcome the prospect, as arguably shown by the pair's meeting at Highgrove in July. William reportedly appears less inclined to forgive and forget, with reports he did not meet his younger brother in an ongoing royal rift. But is it time the siblings settled their differences and moved on?

How the rift began

Tensions between the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex reportedly began in 2018 when Harry told his brother he wasn't doing enough to include Meghan Markle in the family. Reports that William cautioned Harry about the speed with which his relationship with Meghan was developing added to the tensions.

In October 2019, Harry admitted there was a royal rift, telling ITV that "stuff happens" under the pressures of being a member of the Royal Family when asked about the rumoured feud.

Escalation and allegations

After Harry and Meghan stepped back as senior, working royals in 2020, they sat down with Oprah Winfrey and made a series of damaging allegations against the Windsors, including a claim of racism, which William later denied. Allegations detailed in the Sussexes' Netflix docu-series, Harry & Meghan, reportedly strained relations between the siblings.

Harry's biography, Spare, included an accusation that William physically attacked him during a row about Meghan. Buckingham Palace maintained a dignified silence in response to the allegations.
