James Wessex is set to head off to university in a few months after receiving his A-level results today. While it is not known what grades he received, Buckingham Palace confirmed he received the results he needed to get into the Royal Agricultural University in September, where he will study Rural Land and Property Management.

This move will no doubt please James Wessex's parents, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, who are likely feeling proud of their youngest today. It is also news that royal fans will celebrate, with many feeling fond of James despite not knowing much about him. This is because, unlike some of his royal relatives, James lives a relatively private life.
The reason for this is that, while he holds the title of Earl of Wessex, the 18-year-old royal does not use his HRH title. This is a decision he has made himself, opting for a private life rather than one in the public spotlight.
Future Royal Role?
While unconfirmed, it is believed James will keep it this way, with Edward and Sophie having prepared both their children for the fact that they are likely to have to get jobs for a living. This is something both James and his older sister Lady Louise do not seem afraid of, having both shown a strong work ethic already, with James working at the Sandringham Estate this summer.

A royal source told the Daily Express that James and his sister have been kept "very grounded" by their parents. While they are unlikely to become working royals either now or in the future, despite the fact that their parents are working royals, both James and Louise are still expected to make some royal appearances.
