Paris Fury Expresses Youthful Surprise Over Daughter's Impending Marriage at Age 16
Paris Fury, the 36-year-old wife of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, has candidly admitted she "doesn't feel old enough" for her eldest daughter, Venezuela, to be getting married at just 16 years old. Speaking ahead of the big day, Paris reflected on her own early relationship with Tyson, whom she met at age 15 when he was 17, and married at 18.
Family Announcement and Public Reaction
Fans were left stunned last October when the Fury family shared a video of Venezuela accepting her boyfriend Noah Price's proposal during her lavish 16th birthday celebration. In a new interview, Paris acknowledged the surprise, stating: "I didn't feel old enough for this, but Venezuela is over-the-moon happy. The two of them are in their own little bubble. And, look, I got married myself at 18."
Despite supporting the wedding, Paris emphasized that it is "too soon" for Venezuela to have children with Noah, noting the couple's desire to travel first. As a mother-of-eight, she expressed personal concerns about her eldest leaving home, saying: "I'll feel like I've lost my arm. It's going to hit me hard. Right now, Tyson's in training camp in Thailand, the kids are in school, and Venezuela and I... basically co‐parent! But I do let her have her space. The weekends are her time. I know she'll be fine, getting on with an exciting new life. It's me I'm worried about."
Wedding Plans and Family Dynamics
In the same discussion, Venezuela revealed she is currently selecting a dress and venue for the ceremony. She described the planned event as "quite small," but added: "to anyone else it'll be like the biggest wedding in the world because we're all very OTT!" The Fury family includes seven children: daughters Venezuela, 16, Valencia, eight, and Athena, along with sons Prince John James, 14, Prince Tyson II, eight, Prince Adonis Amaziah, five, and Rico, one. Tyson and Paris have been married since 2008.
Relocation to the Isle of Man and Lifestyle Changes
Earlier this week, Paris offered fans a glimpse into the family's new six-bedroom home on the Isle of Man, a tax haven where the property reportedly cost £8 million. The family moved from Morecambe, Lancashire, to a converted farmhouse and stables near Douglas, the capital. Paris shared Instagram photos of the residence, including footage of sheep in the garden, and showcased her modern kitchen while discussing a health kick since the move.
She mentioned cutting out sugar and sweet treats to improve her diet, stating she is "trying to lose some weight." Official records from Companies House confirm that both Tyson and Paris have become "usually resident" on the island as of December 1, with Tyson listed as the ultimate beneficial owner of Tyson Fury Ltd and Paris for Paris Fury Ltd.
Tax Benefits and Financial Motivations
The relocation to the Isle of Man was driven by favorable tax conditions, allowing the family to avoid high mainland UK taxes, particularly after changes to property taxes. The island offers a top income tax rate of 21% and a tax cap of £220,000, significantly lower than the 40-45% rates often paid in the UK, with no capital gains or inheritance taxes. Tyson Fury, a multiple major heavyweight title winner with an estimated worth of £160 million, and his family had been spotted around the island prior to the move, including at the Peveril pub in Peel.
