The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended separate events thousands of miles apart, with Harry speaking at The New York Times Dealbook Summit and Meghan walking the red carpet at a gala honouring filmmaker Tyler Perry.
Body language expert Judi James told the Mirror that a 'very powerful body language narrative' is emerging from these solo outings. She noted that Harry appears to be returning to his former royal confidence, displaying alpha signals and attention-seeking gestures. In contrast, Meghan's body language suggests a more tentative, vulnerable approach, with a 'request to be liked' rather than an expectation of admiration.
James observed that Harry sat facing the audience with splayed knees and emphatic hand gestures, making him appear higher in status. Meghan, meanwhile, adopted a sideways pose with a glance over the shoulder, touching her fingers together lightly and smiling with a slightly dipped chin. The expert also noted that Meghan seems to crave a posing partner, using 'limpet' style body language to approach friends for support.
The couple's last official public appearance together was over 100 days ago, on August 18, during their four-day trip to Colombia. Since then, they have been seen separately at various events, with Harry's confidence increasing and Meghan's appearing to decrease, according to James.
