The Duchess of Sussex has revealed an unconventional way of eating biscuits that might not resonate with all Brits. In a new video promoting the documentary Cookie Queens, Meghan Markle shared her unique preference for shortbread dipped in jam.
Meghan's Surprising Biscuit Revelation
During a Tasty video appearance alongside Cookie Queens director Alysa Nahmias and three Girl Scouts – Niki, Shannon-Elizabeth and Olive – Meghan was asked about her favorite cookie. While admitting her love for classic Thin Mints, she added: “But I like shortbread. I like to dip them in jam.”
When one of the girls expressed surprise, saying “I’ve never heard someone do that,” Meghan responded: “Or sandwich them together with jam in between.”
Behind the Cookie Queens Documentary
Cookie Queens is a documentary about four girls who “strive to be a top-selling 'Cookie Queen,' navigating an $800 million business in which childhood and ambition collide.” Harry and Meghan executive-produced the film through their Archewell Productions company.
In the video, the Girl Scouts decided on ingredients for a new creation – magical brown sugar and cream – before asking Meghan and Alysa questions.
Meghan's Guiding Childhood Advice
Another girl asked the duchess what she was told as a child that still guides her today. Meghan recalled a saying from one of her teachers: “Keep a good heart.”
She elaborated: “I just think it’s one of those simple things you can always remember no matter what situation you’re in,” adding, “Just go, ‘Keep a good heart.’”
Last week, Meghan surprised the Girl Scouts by attending two special screenings, one in Los Angeles and one in Ojai.
