Meghan Markle has signed up to Soho Farmhouse, an elite Cotswolds club catering to celebrities and high-net-worth individuals, in her latest bid to regain celebrity status. The 100-acre club, frequented by the likes of Tom Cruise, Ariana Grande and Cara Delevingne, charges an annual membership fee of up to £4,500.
A Return to the Spotlight
Meghan, who found relative fame as Rachel Zane in the US legal drama Suits, as well as appearing in shows like 90210 and Fringe, has been spotted at the venue's Comfy Farm lounge since September. She reportedly had a coffee there and was introduced to senior staff members by name. She has also been attending Pilates classes at the club.
Meghan gave up acting when she married Prince Harry in 2018, stepping back from the Hollywood spotlight. Following setbacks with Netflix and Spotify projects and a shift in public opinion, she has pursued a rebrand centred on lifestyle content, rather than returning to acting.
Membership and Motives
Would-be members must fill out an application that includes their interests and occupation. The luxury membership provides access to pools, gyms, spas and classes, with members receiving four free classes per month before paying extra.
Meghan has also been reconnecting with US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, who lives in Oxfordshire. The club is located just a few miles from the home of David and Victoria Beckham.
