The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is reportedly plotting to win back the favour of King Charles III, according to sources close to the couple. It is believed that Meghan and the monarch were once close before she and Prince Harry stepped away from royal duties in January 2020. The then Prince of Wales walked Meghan down the aisle at her wedding in 2017, standing in for her absent father.
Harry's Desire for Reconciliation
Prince Harry expressed in a BBC interview in May last year that he would love to reconcile with his father, King Charles. Now, a source has told Heat World that Harry is convinced that Meghan's involvement is crucial to winning over the King. The insider revealed that Meghan orchestrated the inclusion of a photo of the King in her wedding anniversary Instagram post, describing it as a calculated move. Harry is reportedly delighted that they are finally on the same page regarding his family.
Meghan's Gestures
The source claimed that a few weeks ago, Meghan assembled a large gift basket for the anniversary of King Charles and Queen Camilla's Coronation, accompanied by a sweet note. In return, the King sent a thank you note, indicating that the lines of communication remain open. It is thought that the Sussexes will continue making efforts until Charles explicitly tells them to stop.
This ongoing outreach suggests a potential thaw in relations between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, with Meghan taking a proactive role in bridging the gap.
