A pregnant singer has revealed what Meghan Markle said to her at a gala in Canada last week. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a David Foster 40th anniversary celebration for his foundation in Victoria, Canada, last Friday.
The couple met some of the gala performers, including pregnant singer Pia Toscano, who performed “Feeling Good” at the event. Toscano approached Harry and Meghan at the head table after her performance and spoke to the duchess about pregnancy.
Meghan's comment to the singer
Toscano told Page Six that Meghan touched her pregnant stomach and congratulated her, before making a nine-word comment. Meghan reportedly said: “This is the most beautiful time of your life.”
The comment was believed to have come from the heart, with Meghan being a mother to Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five.
Meghan on motherhood
Prince Harry's wife has spoken many times about her love for motherhood, even referring to her role as a mum as her superpower. This summer, Meghan appeared in a new video promoting Cookie Queens, a documentary Archewell Productions produced.
In the video, Meghan appeared alongside director Alysa Nahmias and three Girl Scouts – Niki, Shannon-Elizabeth and Olive. When asked what her superpower was, she replied “being a mom”. She explained: “I feel like we have superpowers because we juggle it all. And enjoy it all with grace and grit at the same time.”
