Meghan Markle Returns to UK with Archie and Lilibet

Meghan Markle is set to return to the UK this week, just days after Prince Harry travelled to Britain without his family. The 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex will be joined by their two children, seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet, according to reports.

Security Concerns and Previous Plans

Harry arrived in the UK on July 6, with Meghan and the children initially expected to join him. However, the plan was revoked after Harry's request for taxpayer-funded security was denied. The 41-year-old has previously voiced concerns about his family's safety in the UK, revealing in an interview last year that he 'couldn't see a world' where he could feel safe bringing his children to Britain.

Shock Return and Public Appearances

Despite these concerns, it has now been confirmed that Meghan will make a shock return this week. However, an insider told Page Six that Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet will not make any public appearances. They will not join Harry at the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games, which takes place today.

Visit to Diana's Grave

Earlier reports indicated that Harry wanted to take his children to visit the grave of his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, at Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire. It remains unclear whether this visit will take place during the current trip.

King Charles and Grandchildren

The confirmation of Meghan's visit has sparked speculation about whether King Charles, 77, will get to see his two youngest grandchildren. The King is said to be eager to build a strong relationship with Archie and Lilibet, similar to the one he has with Prince William's three children. As the Sussex family lives in California, the King has spent very little time with Archie and has only met Lilibet once, back in 2022.
