Meghan Markle 'refused service' at UK pub as locals 'really just don't like her'
Meghan Markle 'refused service' at UK pub, report claims

Certain members of staff at an award-winning pub reportedly "refused to serve" Meghan Markle when she turned up for drinks in what was her first outing since returning to the UK. Meghan was spotted at The Three Horseshoes in Asthall, near Burford, on September 21, where the 45-year-old is reported to have struggled getting served.

Staff reportedly refused service

Some workers allegedly refused to serve the former royal. Meghan, who was joined by Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi, was seen wearing a light blue shirt and white jeans for her trip. She, Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, arrived in the UK from California back in August.

Gloucestershire Live reports that some staff refused to serve Meghan at the pub, writing: "Meghan recently made her first photographed public appearance since returning to British soil, spotted chatting and laughing at The Three Horseshoes pub in Asthall, near Burford in Oxfordshire. Certain members of staff at The Three Horseshoes have reportedly 'refused to serve' [Meghan]."

Local reaction to Meghan's presence

Meghan was also spotted having tea with a friend at Soho Farmhouse, a members-only luxury retreat. According to Paula Froelich, an award-winning American journalist, one resident said: "People really just don't like her."

Another source claimed she's frequently spotted at Daylesford Farm Shop in Moreton-in-Marsh. They described how Meghan "arrives on her own with a coterie of bodyguards during prime shopping times" and "walks around as if she is very important", reports the Express. Local residents find her presence "terribly inconvenient and annoying," while staff members are said to "just ignore her".

Harry keeps a lower profile

Harry seems to have kept a much lower profile since their return. He has been to London for the annual WellChild Awards and Birmingham for the launch of next year's Invictus Games. The couple's team have refused to disclose the exact location of their new home but the Sussexes are believed to now live in an isolated 18th-century farmhouse situated within 83 acres of Cotswolds countryside.
