Meghan Markle needs a critical friend to help improve her popularity in the UK, according to PR expert Mark Borkowski. The Duchess of Sussex, who turned 45 this week, remains unpopular in Britain, a fact attributed to her past criticisms of the Royal Family, royal life, and the UK, including remarks in the 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan and the 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview.

Speaking to Hello magazine, Borkowski said: "Meghan needs a critical friend who will advise her to eat humble pie and look at a gradual return to Britain." He added: "She could be a powerful celebrity Duchess, but not a working royal, if she could find purpose and help Harry have a more dignified relationship with Britain."
Recent UK visit
Meghan visited the UK last month with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, but was not seen publicly. Originally, she was set to join Harry in some public engagements, but security concerns over the lack of armed police protection led to changes in plans. Harry arrived in Britain a few days earlier for his public appearances, then met his family for private time.
The private time reportedly included a stay at Althorp Estate with Harry's uncle Earl Charles Spencer, and a reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove. The family is also rumoured to have spent time on a Scottish island owned by a friend of Harry's. The total length of their stay before returning to Montecito, California, is unknown.
