Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has said Meghan Markle is fully aware of her "extremely low popularity" in the UK, but has her eyes fixed on life in California, her children and her business ventures.
Speaking to the Mirror, Bond said: "Meghan is an intelligent woman. I'm sure she is perfectly aware of her extremely low popularity in the UK... I think her eyes are firmly set on their lives in California, their children and her business ventures."
Meghan lives in California with Prince Harry, raising Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five. She is said to be very happy living there.
Business ventures and priorities
Her work for As Ever, along with any other commitments, also remains a top priority in her life.
The 44-year-old, who will celebrate her birthday on Tuesday, returned to the UK last month for the first time since 2022.
Family trip to the UK
Harry travelled earlier, and Meghan joined him later in the week with their children. Archie and Lilibet had not visited the UK since the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee in early June 2022.
Meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla
During the trip, the family paid a visit to Highgrove House, where they met King Charles and Queen Camilla. Not much is known publicly about the meeting, but it is said to have lasted around an hour.
