Meghan Markle could make her return to the spotlight sooner rather than later, with clues suggesting she may appear at Paris Fashion Week, which runs until October 6.
The Duchess of Sussex, 45, has kept a low profile since returning to the UK with Prince Harry in August. While Harry has been busy with charity work and public engagements, Meghan has not joined him during these outings.
Paris Fashion Week speculation
After the couple moved back to the UK with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, it was confirmed that Meghan would continue working on her brand, As Ever, and would travel back to the US on occasion. Rumours also swirled that the Duchess was in talks to make a return to acting, having originally risen to fame in the legal drama Suits.
Despite local outings with famous friends such as Ellen DeGeneres, Meghan has not yet appeared at any event where the media would be, but that could soon change. The Instagram account for her As Ever brand posted a photo of branded bookmarks draped over what looked like a Paris travel guide, leading some followers to suspect that the former working royal will make an appearance at the fashion show again this year.
Last year's Balenciaga show
The Duchess made an appearance in the front row of Balenciaga's Paris Fashion Week show last year, after reportedly "inviting herself." She was there to support Pierpaolo Piccioli, the fashion house's creative director, whose designs she has worn a number of times over the years.
"They have worked closely together, collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage," a spokesperson for Meghan said at the time. Celebrities usually only attend these events after receiving an invitation. However, Meghan confirmed in an interview that she actually reached out to Piccioli to ask to attend the show.
"I reached out, and I said, 'Happy to come and support you.' We kept it a secret, and it was really fun," she told Harper's Bazaar.
Life in the Cotswolds
Meghan continues to keep a low profile as she and Harry settle into life in the Cotswolds. She has reportedly taken up pilates in the area and has also been seen spending time at a pub in Oxfordshire that was featured in a popular TV show. Meghan was seen in the Falkland Arms in Great Tew, which featured in MobLand.
