Meghan faces sadness over UK trip, source claims

Meghan Markle is said to have faced “a lot of sadness” over the way her family’s trip to the UK unfolded, a source has claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Britain in July and were reunited with the King and Queen who were able to see their grandchildren in the flesh for the first time since 2022.

Security concerns overshadowed visit

However the trip was marred in difficulty in the lead up due to concerns over the family’s security arrangements which ultimately led to Meghan and her children staying away from public events. Ultimately, Prince Harry traveled to London ahead of his wife and children for a series of engagements, before the reunion with his father at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire on July 10.

Source reveals sadness

A source told People that “there's a lot of sadness,” over how the trip unfolded, while another claimed that the Duchess would have felt "humiliated” as she saw the public and private furore erupt in the lead up to the trip.
