A royal expert has suggested that Meghan Markle is set for more money and power via a "pathway" involving the King. It has been reported that Prince Harry is "dreaming" of appearing in public with his father at the Invictus Games in Birmingham next year. Sources said to be close to the Duke of Sussex have purportedly said that Harry would "relish" standing side by side with Charles during the games, which he founded in 2014 and has continued to actively support after leaving the Royal Family in 2020 with his wife, Meghan Markle.
Expert's Judgement
Royal commentator and biographer Angela Levin commented on the speculation. She wrote: "It's not a dream reunion. It is a pathway to gather money, power, and give Meghan all she wants."
Recent UK Visit
Harry did not bring his wife to public appearance during his visit to the UK last month. He attended an event marking one year until the Invictus Games in Birmingham. He also did goat yoga in Warwickshire. It is believed that Meghan was not there due to security fears.
The Sussexes did however meet with the King and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House in private with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. This was the first time they had seen their grandfather since events celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
Private Meeting Details
No details regarding what was discussed have been released, but sources close to Meghan and Harry told Vanity Fair that the reunion lasted for about an hour, was "completely cloak-and-dagger, orchestrated by the King". A source said: "The King wanted to see Harry and the children. A time was agreed for the Sussexes to come to Highgrove on Friday afternoon, and it was uncharacteristically last-minute for the King. Everyone was sworn to secrecy so that the meeting could remain private."
Harry is due to return to the UK in September for the WellChild Awards ceremony, which he tends to attend every year.
