Martha Stewart's net worth is estimated at around $400 million (£296 million) as of 2026, according to Parade, amid her ongoing alleged feud with Meghan Markle.

Feud escalates after dinner party claims

The 85-year-old lifestyle guru told People Magazine that she attended a dinner party in California where the Duchess of Sussex was also a guest, and heard Meghan discuss her recent trip to the UK. Stewart said: “I had dinner with Meghan Markle the other night. We were both guests at a dinner party in California. And she had just gotten back from the palace. I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it.”

However, days later, a source close to the duchess dismissed the claims, suggesting Stewart was “confused”. The source told the Mirror: “Meghan was asked by someone else about her European vacation and said it was nice, and that was the extent of it. I think (Ms Stewart) must have been confused.”

From stockbroker to lifestyle empire

Stewart started out as a babysitter and model, then worked as a caterer and stockbroker, before becoming a cookbook author and launching a business empire. Her net worth was previously much higher, with Forbes estimating it at $1 billion in 2000.

After her insider trading arrest and conviction, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s stock plummeted, and her holdings fell from a $591 million valuation to $162 million by October 2002. In January 2006, they were valued at $330 million.

Katonah estate

Stewart currently lives in a hamlet in Katonah, New York. Her 152-acre estate had an asking price of $15.2 million and features several buildings and a horse farm.
