Holly Ditchfield, a former Married at First Sight UK star, has shared the heartbreaking news that her newborn twin sons have died, less than a week after they were born.
Last week, Holly and her partner Aaron Summers announced the arrival of twin sons Georgie and Marley, who were born four months early at just 23 weeks of pregnancy. The twins were immediately cared for on a neonatal intensive care unit.
Twins passed away within hours of each other
In an Instagram post, Holly revealed that both twins died within hours of one another. She wrote: "My beautiful boys, Georgie & Marley. It has been the hardest, most heartbreaking, yet most magical 9 days of our lives. At 1pm on 03/09/2026, our darling Georgie peacefully passed away. Then, at 5am on 04/09/2026, his beautiful brother Marley followed him."
She added: "My boys both took their final breaths in the arms of me and their daddy. There is no greater privilege, and no greater pain, than holding your children as they leave this world."
Heartfelt tribute to her sons
Holly said "nothing could prepare" her for losing her children, describing the experience of having to walk her babies to a mortuary. She wrote: "Nothing prepares you for having to walk your babies to a mortuary. We have seen and faced more in these 9 days than I ever imagined possible, and my heart feels completely bruised."
She concluded: "But for 9 precious days, they were here. They were ours. They were loved beyond measure. And they will forever be our beautiful boys."
Holly asked for respect and privacy as she and Aaron process their grief. She also thanked her sons for the "most precious 9 days of our lives," adding: "Until we meet again, my beautiful boys. Mummy & Daddy love you forever."
