Liz Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus have sparked rumours that they are engaged, just over a year after going public with their relationship. The pair first met on the set of the 2022 festive film Christmas in Paradise.
Liz, 61, posed in a white robe and showed off a huge diamond ring on her left hand, suggesting that Billy, 65, may have proposed. According to Page Six, the pair are engaged after the country singer got down on one knee.
Source hints at engagement
A source told Page Six: "She's filming 'The 'Burbs'; I hardly think this ring is a prop." Earlier this week, Miley Cyrus' famous dad dropped a major clue that they were getting hitched. He posted a ring emoji in a post shared on Thursday (October 15).
Billy commented: "This is the most fertile solid ground I have stood on in a long time. I like seeing peoples dreams come true. I'm so excited for the show this weekend teaming up with NASCAR in Phoenix !!! Kinda has a ring [ring emoji] to it."
Family support and relationship history
Liz's son Damian appears to have given his blessing as he liked the post and commented a celebratory emoji. Liz and Billy first announced their relationship in Easter of last year.
She addressed the shocked reaction from fans at the time, telling Page Six: "I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising. It's not surprising to me because we're actually quite similar and get on extremely well. There has been quite a reaction."
Liz explained that she and Billy work well as they have lots in common. She added: "We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country. And we both love country music, both love movies. We've got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely."
Talking to E!News, she said: "It was unexpected. But we're very happy together. And hopefully we'll have a great life."
