Lady Louise Windsor's Secret Job for King Charles Revealed

Lady Louise Windsor has reportedly taken on a summer role as a cook at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, working for her uncle King Charles. The 22-year-old, who graduated from St Andrew's University this year, has been cooking for people renting lodges at the royal Scottish estate, according to the Daily Mail.

Royal Work Ethic

Louise, the daughter of Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie, is said to be a "really good cook" and "incredibly low-key and discreet," the Daily Mail reported. It is not known how much she has been paid for this role, but it highlights her strong work ethic, which she likely inherited from her parents.

This is not the first time Louise has taken on a job. Years ago, she worked at a local garden centre in Surrey while doing her A-Levels, reportedly earning £6.83 an hour. Just months ago, she was reported to be working as a paid principal organiser, administrator, and concierge at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, a job she is believed to have enjoyed.

Family Tradition

Louise is not the first young royal to work for King Charles. Her younger brother James, 18, also had a summer job this year at Sandringham, another of the King's estates, where he worked as a farmhand. An estate worker told The Sun at the time: "Everyone is so used to only seeing James smartly turned out with his family at functions at Christmas and Easter, so I had to do a double take."

The worker added: "He might be the King's nephew, but he is more than happy to get his hands dirty and muck in. Driving tractors around Sandringham is not an easy task, and it can mean long hours. But it doesn't matter how rich you are, learning a good work ethic at a young age can always help. The King is known for his fondness of the countryside, and he couldn't be prouder knowing the younger royals share his love."

James is now studying for a degree at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester.
