Armed police officers arrested a man at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of threatening behaviour after reports of a knife at Terminal 3. The Metropolitan Police were called at 07:00 GMT to the incident.
Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 20s carrying a metal object, not a knife as initially reported. No injuries were reported during the incident.
The man was arrested on suspicion of threatening behaviour and is currently in custody at a west London police station. The investigation is ongoing.
