King Charles schedules deliberate meeting with Harry and Meghan

King Charles has made a major diary decision regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, scheduling a meeting with the couple before Christmas, according to a royal source. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, a few weeks ago but have not yet seen the King since their arrival.

Deliberate meeting planned

Celebrity journalist and former Hollywood publicist Rob Shuter, writing for his Naughty But Nice Substack blog, reported that sources have said time has "already been reserved in the royal diary" for King Charles and Queen Camilla to meet with Harry and Meghan before Christmas. A royal source told Naughty But Nice that this is not a "casual" meeting but one that is "deliberate."

They said: "This is not a casual 'let's get together sometime.'"

Source: 'Nobody drops in on the King'

The source added: "Nobody drops in on the King. If Harry and Meghan are in Charles's diary, it is because he wants them there. This is deliberate."

The last time the Sussexes saw Charles was in July when the couple and their children went to Highgrove House. It was the first time in four years that they had seen each other. Harry and Meghan had not been in the UK together since 2022 when they attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Reconciliation efforts continue

Another insider claimed both sides are determined to keep the "fragile" reconciliation moving forward. They told Mr Shuter: "The important thing is that there will be another meeting. Charles is making room for his son again, and Harry knows how significant that is."

The family made a surprise return to the UK when they announced their return at the end of the summer. They plan to live in Britain for an "extended" period. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are now being schooled in Britain. They arrived back in the UK on August 26, landing at Birmingham Airport after six years living in Montecito, California.
