This visit could lead to a reunion between Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, which is highly anticipated.
King Charles' Primary Focus
Royal reporter Emily Nash exclusively told Page Six that King Charles is likely focused on spending time with his son. “I think he probably is just focused on his own moment of spending time with the son he’s not seen for a long time,” she said. “Especially potentially meeting his grandchildren… I’m sure that’s probably his primary focus right now.”
No Reunion Expected with Prince William
Nash also indicated that she does not believe Prince William, 44, and Prince Harry, 41, will reunite during this upcoming trip. Royal commentator Amanda Matta told Page Six that if the brothers were to meet, they would need to approach the situation “pragmatically rather than emotionally,” adding, “William has been the holdout for years, viewing Harry’s betrayal as unforgivable.”
Security Concerns and Past Visits
This trip would be Prince Harry's first visit to the UK in four years. He has previously expressed a desire to bring his children back to his country of birth. However, security arrangements for the visit remain unclear, according to the BBC. Harry had earlier stated that it was “impossible” for him to bring Meghan and their children to the UK without security, as reported by The Royal Observer.
Potential Meeting with Grandchildren
It is not yet known whether King Charles will meet his grandchildren during this visit. The king last saw Archie and Lilibet during the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. Prince Harry last met with King Charles at Clarence House in London in September, marking their first in-person meeting since February 2024.
