The meeting involves a 'secret squirrel' mission, where the pair will join Dwayne Fields, the Chief Scout of the Scouts Association, to learn about the Scouts' Squirrels programme and how children can earn a nature-related badge.
Yesterday, the Trumps arrived at Windsor Castle and were greeted by William and Kate before meeting the King and Queen. They participated in a carriage procession through the estate, escorted by the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. In the evening, King Charles hosted a State Banquet in St George's Hall, where he gave a speech highlighting the enduring bond between the two nations.
President Trump expressed his deep respect for the King and the UK, calling the visit 'one of the highest honours' of his life. He praised the King for remembering the names of all 150 people whose hands he had shaken that day, joking about some of the more unusual names. The King and Queen exchanged gifts with the Trumps, including a bespoke book for the president and a silver and enamel bowl for Melania.
The Trumps reciprocated with a replica of President Eisenhower’s Sword for the King and a Tiffany & Co vintage brooch for the Queen. The state visit continues with further engagements scheduled.
