Kate, who is undergoing preventative chemotherapy, confirmed her attendance only the day before via a personal statement from Kensington Palace. She looked elegant in a white Jenny Packham dress and Philip Treacy hat, accessorised with pearl earrings and an Irish Guards Regimental Brooch in tribute to her role as Colonel of the regiment.
The Wales family arrived at Buckingham Palace shortly after 10am, with Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte seated backwards in the car. During the parade, Kate shared a sweet moment with her youngest son, Louis, and kept a watchful eye on him during the RAF flypast from the palace balcony.
Despite heavy rain, the royals kept their spirits up, waving to well-wishers. Kate appeared radiant and happy, sharing a tender moment with Prince William on the balcony. Kensington Palace confirmed she is not expected to attend the Order of the Garter service or Royal Ascot next week, but she hopes to join a few public engagements over the summer.
