The Ministry of Defence has confirmed that the Princess of Wales will attend Trooping the Colour on June 8, marking her first official duty since undergoing abdominal surgery. The military parade will take place at Horse Guards Parade in Westminster, with tickets now available for the event.
However, Kensington Palace has not yet confirmed her attendance, and sources indicate that Palace officials were not consulted before the MoD's announcement. A royal source emphasised that only the Palace can announce attendance at royal events, and confirmation is not expected until nearer the time.
Meanwhile, King Charles met Chancellor Jeremy Hunt at Buckingham Palace ahead of tomorrow's Budget, as his cancer treatment continues. The meeting, traditionally private, was photographed this time, showing the King shaking hands with Mr Hunt.
Royal officials also confirmed that Queen Camilla will lead the Royal Family at the Commonwealth Day service on March 11, joined by Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, and others.
