Prince Harry has been branded a "spoiled little prince" who returned to the UK to "save his own skin" by American journalist and commentator Paula Froelich. Speaking on The Royalist with Tom Sykes, Froelich criticised the 41-year-old former royal after his relocation to the Cotswolds following six years in California.
It has been confirmed that Meghan will continue her own endeavours, including her brand As Ever, while Prince Harry has not revealed what kind of work he will undertake while living in the UK. When asked by Sykes about what Harry is doing in the UK, if not to make peace with members of the Royal Family, Froelich did not hold back.
Froelich's brutal assessment
"Making money and savings his skin. And saving the only job he has left, Invictus. Period," she responded. She continued: "He's never done things the proper way because he's a spoiled little prince who's stomping his feet. And frankly, as we are now seeing, we can see how he always got his way and was always protected by the public."
Froelich has been a consistent critic of both Harry and Meghan. In a recent interview, she said that the pair moving back to the UK was essentially them "admitting defeat" in the US.
Further criticism from Reform UK politician
Prince Harry has been subject to several savage take-downs in recent days. One of the couple's vocal critics, Reform UK politician Darren Grimes, accused Harry of coming back to Britain with his "tail between his legs". Speaking with Australian TV and podcast host Danica De Giorgio, he said that Harry and Meghan have caused "pain and suffering" in the UK over the last few years, and that apologies should be issued.
"I hope that they'll have a modicum of respect and acknowledgement for the pain, hurt and suffering that they inflicted on our nation, not just our Royal Family, but actually on the wider country that gave a lot of love, support and time for this pair when they were married in this country," he said. "I doubt it. I won't hold my breath."
