Prince Harry is reportedly planning to make regular visits to London following his latest successful reunion with King Charles. The Duke of Sussex last visited the UK in July, when he brought wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, over from their California home.
The visit marked the first time in over four years that King Charles was reunited with his grandchildren, who are now aged seven and four respectively.
Harry's hopes for Invictus Games
Harry was said to be hopeful that his father would accept an invitation to join him at the 2027 Invictus Games, which is being held in Birmingham.
According to The Times, Harry wants to return to the UK "every few months", following an "energising" hour-long reunion with his father last month. A source told the paper: "The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus which he’s determined to make the best games yet."
More frequent trips expected
"So he’ll be coming back and forth a lot more, every few months. The way the wind is blowing, he’s going to want to be here more and more," the source added.
"He’s happy these trips can now have more focus on the patronages and be less obscured by the other nonsense. He wants more of a foothold here, more trips back, less courtroom drama. And he always loves seeing his family."
Family holiday and Althorp visit
Harry and his family travelled into the UK from an unspecified location in Europe, after it was initially reported that Archie, Lilibet and Meghan were set to miss the trip.
The Duchess of Sussex posted a slew of pictures from their summer holidays on social media, with one appearing to show her enjoying time with Harry’s uncle Earl Spencer.
It was rumoured Harry would visit his uncle Charles Spencer at Althorp in Northamptonshire, the Spencer family’s ancestral home, to leave flowers at the grave of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, who is buried on an island in a lake on the estate.
It appeared the Sussexes and their children may have enjoyed a break at Althorp, with one of the images posted showing Lilibet walking through formal gardens behind her brother and father in the distance. Another picture shows Harry in a pool throwing his daughter head-over-heels in the air while his son holds onto the edge of the pool.
The duke and duchess have a family holiday home in Portugal, and one picture features a wall in a restaurant with menus in Portuguese, and in another Meghan is walking through what appears to be a homeware shop.
