The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out together in Canada for the first time since their UK trip in July, attending the David Foster Foundation's 40th anniversary gala in Victoria on Friday night.
A star-studded celebration
Harry and Meghan were all smiles on the red carpet at the Victoria Conference Centre, showing support for their friend, music producer David Foster. Meghan, who turned 45 this week, wore a strapless navy gown by Canadian designer Greta Constantine, paired with sapphire and diamond earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana. Harry opted for a classic black tuxedo and bow tie.
Supporting a cause close to their hearts
The gala marked four decades of the David Foster Foundation, established by the 16-time Grammy winner in 1986. The foundation provides financial support to Canadian families with children needing life-saving organ transplants, covering non-medical costs like travel and accommodation near hospitals.
Harry and Meghan have been friends with Foster and his wife Katharine McPhee for years, a friendship that has grown since the couple moved to the US in 2020.
A significant family reunion
Their appearance in Canada is notable as it is their first joint public outing since their UK visit in July, when the family-of-four—including Archie and Lilibet—were together in Britain for the first time since 2022. Harry has often travelled alone due to security concerns, arguing that the UK is unsafe for his family without taxpayer-funded police protection, which he no longer automatically receives.
