Harry and Meghan 'derailed' William, says royal expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have "derailed" Prince William, putting him "over a barrel", according to royal biographer Katie Nicholl. The couple, along with their two children, arrived back in Britain on August 26, six years after stepping back from royal duties and moving to California.

Return sparks shockwaves

The news that the Sussexes were returning to the UK reportedly sent "shockwaves" through the Royal Family, particularly as a surprise to Prince William and Princess Catherine.

Speaking to HELLO, royal biographer Katie Nicholl said: "In many ways, Harry’s really got William over a barrel, because it will be very difficult with them being geographically so much closer and Harry being welcomed back into the royal fold by his father [King Charles], at least, for William to be adamant that there will be no reconciliation."

Expert warns of uncertainty

Nicholl also told Vanity Fair: "There’s a sense that William is going to have to be watching over his shoulder the whole time. He doesn’t know what his brother is going to spring on them all next."
